System Engineer Internal Services (f/m/d)

We are the core of the technical systems behind .de - a vital cornerstone of the critical infrastructure of the Internet. For us, stability, security and permanent availability are not only buzzwords but the basis of our daily work.

As an experienced system engineer you support us in advancing and operating our internal IT services

You are well familiar with system and infrastructure management, and perhaps you also have already gained some experience with a programming language. In our team you will be responsible for our internal IT services (Jira, Confluence, document management, ERP/ECM, chat, etc.) You are committed to automating tasks wherever possible in this field and have experience with CI/CD pipelines. Maximum availability and utmost information security are welcome challenges for you in this context.

Your tasks:

  • Operation and further development of our internal IT
  • Implementation of pipelines and automation of tasks
  • Information security and maximum availability

Qualifications:

  • University degree, vocational training in the technical industry or relevant professional experience
  • Solid knowledge of and practical experience with Linux server administration
  • Good basic technical knowledge of the complete technology stack: networks, storage, data backup, virtualisation, containers, monitoring and databases
  • Experience with using automation tools like Salt, Scalr CMP, GitLab and CI/CD
  • Command of a programming /script language (e.g. bash, Python, Golang) is recommended
  • Good command of German and English, both spoken and written
  • Pronounced service orientation, quick learner with a solution-oriented approach
  • Commitment and team spirit, personal responsibility and community spirit
  • Basic knowledge of agile working methods (Kanban, Scrum) would be an additional plus
